World Grand Prix 2019

After the Asia Champion Qualifier that took place in the earlier half of 2019, the World Grand Prix will follow-up as the second Bushiroad-sanctioned tournament series that is held every year. Each year, hundreds of participants gather from across the country to attend the event for the tournaments, side events, and attractive prizes. WGP2019 is held in three regions and has three levels of tournaments which is Shop Challenges, Regional Championships and an-invite only World Finals. 

World Grand Prix 2019 Malaysia will encompass the following Bushiroad Japanese Edition trading card games : 

  • Cardfight!! Vanguard Standard
  • Cardfight! Vanguard Premium
  • Wiss Schwarz 

 

Shop Qualifier

For the first level of tournaments, we will have our retailers to do the shop challenges, which players will head over to the shop qualifiers to duel with other players for a chance to get a bye to be used in Regional Finals. Players also will be able to get promo cards as participation gifts.

Regional Finals

Venue : KUALA LUMPUR CONVENTION CENTER (TO BE CONFIRMED)   

 

Date : 21 - 22 December 2019

Free Entry

 

The Regional Finals is where anyone may participate in any Regional Championships. However, Sponsored and Unsponsored Invites to the World Finals may only be claimed by participants residing in the same region where the Regional Championship is being held. The winners of the Regional Finals will represent that particular region. 

 

Regional Finals Prize (TO BE ANNOUNCE)

WGP 2019 [Cardfight!! Vanguard Shop & Regional Qualifier Tournament]

Eligibility
-All players with citizenship/permanent resident visa or student/work visa may participate to their Regional qualifier. (ID check might be requested for top 8 players)
-There is no age limit to participate in this tournament.
-Only one participation per person is allowed to the WGP Regional Qualifier.
-A player caught participating in multiple qualifiers will be disqualified.
Deck &
Cards
-All Japanese version cards released and distributed before the tournament date can be used.
-Cards released on the tournament day cannot be used.
-It is mandatory to register the deck (submit the deck list) upon tournament registration.
Discrepancies between the deck list and actual deck used in the tournament may result in a penalty.
-A player must use the same deck throughout a tournament. No switching of cards is permitted in between games within a tournament, except for the situations specified in the Sideboard Ruling.
-Fighters are required to use opaque card sleeves so that the back of cards cannot be easily distinguished. Sleeves
used within each deck have to be of the same design, except for Imaginary Gift markers & G decks (if any)

-Individual, Clan Fight regulation
-Tournament structure may different depending of your region,
announcement will be made at each tournament venue.
-25 min / round
-Round Time-up:
-Until Top 16: time-up is counted as a loss for both parties.
Judge can decide to give extra time in case of loss time during a round.
-Top 16→Top 4: Extra turn according to the following rules:
1. Players must stop playing when time is up (even in the middle of their turn) and call the judge.
2. After Judge approval, players resume their play (only one turn each).
3. In case a winner cannot be designated after the above 2 extra turns,
the fighter with the higher damages loses the round.
In case damages are still equal, match continues until a player get 1 damage.
-From Top 4: no time limit
-In case both players lose the game at the same time, the player who has the turn will lose.
Things to Bring
-Please bring your ID to the venue.
-Please always bring your own writing materials such as a ballpoint pen.
-Player must complete the Deck Registration Form and submit the deck list during registration.

 

WGP 2019 [Weiss Schwarz Shop & Regional Qualifier Tournament]

Eligibility
-All players with citizenship/permanent resident visa or student/work visa may participate to their Regional
qualifier. (ID check might be requested for top 8 players)
-There is no age limit to participate in this tournament.
-Only one participation per person is allowed to the WGP Regional Qualifier.
-A player caught participating in multiple qualifiers will be disqualified.

-All Japanese version cards officially released in your region and distributed before the tournament date can beused. WS title restriction may be different depending of your region, please check your official Distributor announcement for details.
-Cards released on the tournament day cannot be used.

-Round Time-up:
-Until Top 16: time-up is counted as a loss for both parties.
Judge can decide to give extra time in case of loss time during a round.
-Top 16→Top 4: Winner is designated according to the following rules:
1. Player with the higher "level" will lose the game.
2. If a winner cannot be designated by method 1. the player with the higher "clock" will lose.
3. If a winner still cannot be designated by method 2. both players resume their play until a change in "clock" or
"level" occurs. Then back to check from method 1.
-From Top 4: no time limit
-In case both players lose the game at the same time, the player who has the turn will lose.
